JGI was founded in 1960, as the European marketing office for various concentrates and metal products coming from Peru.
JGI makes part of the Silox Group, a producer of zinc oxide and sodium hydrosulphite, which is in turn owned 50% by Prayon, a world leader in the chemistry of phosphates.
